Jane "Ellen" White

Jane Ellen White died January 9, 2021 at her home in Danville, IL.  She was born February 21, 1937 in Chicago, IL to Charles Frances Kiser and Francis Fanita (Richards) Kiser. They preceded her in death.

Ellen was also preceded in death by her son, Robert F. Smith; brothers, Charles Kiser, Richard Kiser; sister, Patricia (Kiser) Aten.

She married Jerry D. White December 18, 1976 in Danville, IL. 

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crochet, knitting, camping and fishing.  But more than anything, traveling across country with the love of her life, Jerry.

She leaves behind her soulmate, Jerry; children, Charles (Bonnie) Smith, Susan (Walter) Siddell, Lauri (Eric) Cunningham, David (Ely) White, Danny White, Cheryl (Doug) Shaw; grandchildren, Zachary (Karyn) Weddle, Evan Cunningham, Elias Smith, Troy White, Chelsey (Scottie) Royle, Thomas Shaw; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Decklan Weddle and Bellamy Royle; sister-in-law, Irma Raycraft and many nieces and nephews.  She will be greatly missed by her fur babies, Mooch and Rabble. She was greatly loved by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  They were her pride and joy.

Ellen’s family would like to give great thanks to Harbor Light Hospice, her nurse, George, her CNA, Brittney and Chaplin Glenn who provided such wonderful care to her as well as her family. 

Also, the family would like to thank her grandchildren, Zachary, Karyn and Evan, who provided loving care during her final days administering comfort, support and much love.  But most of all to Karyn Weddle for her witty banter and giving her “some sugar” every day.  She was so proud of you all and was grateful for making her transition easier.  Thank you to you all. 

In lieu of flowers, she would like donations to be made to St. Jude’s Hospital in her name.

Visitation will be held 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834.   She will be interred at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum.
