Harry Beever Obituary

Danville – Harry K. Beever, 89, of Danville passed away on September 6, 2019 at 11:56 PM at his home in Danville. Harry was born on November 5, 1929 in Tilton, IL the son of Charles and Sylvia (Bridgewater) Beever. He married Alma Maxine Wirth on August 17, 1951 in Danville, IL and she survives.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years “Maxine” of Danville, IL, one son; Lance (Susan) Beever of Mattoon, IL, two grandsons; Matthew (Amber) Beever of Mattoon, IL and David (Candice) Beever of Elizabeth, NJ as well as two great-grandchildren; Alyssa and Jordan and several nieces and nephews.

Harry is preceded in death by his parents and one brother; Richard Beever.

Harry served his country during the Korean War in the United States Marine Corp as a Tank Leader. He was a supervisor at Central Foundry and enjoyed spending his free playing cards, especially Euchre, and loved spending time with his grandsons.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834. Miles Clark will officiate. Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 210 Honor Guard and burial will be at a later date.  Visitation will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019, from 10-11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
