Diana Pierce Obituary

Danville – Diana Ruth Pierce, 77, of Danville passed away at 6:49 AM on September 8, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Diana was born on August 4, 1943 the daughter of Arthur and Agnes (Hummer) Creviston in Danville, IL. She married Bobby Pierce on August 23, 1964 and he preceded her in death on April 26, 2017.

Survivors include two sons, Bob (Lisa) Pierce of Danville and Mike and (Dorrie) Pierce of Danville, IL, one sister, Carolyn Nightlinger of Davnille, IL, seven grandchildren, Nicholas Pierce, Christopher Pierce, Jessica Stitt, Kenny Smoot, John Pierce, Eric Pierce and Shelby Sprouls as well as 14 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobby, one daughter, Tina Lindsley, two brothers, Arthur Creviston and Bill Creviston as well as two sisters, Deea White and Barb Peters and one great-granddaughter, Daisy Garcia.

Diana enjoyed spending her free time gardening, painting, and cooking.  She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Miles Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 15 from 9-11:00 AM at the funeral home.

It is kindly requested that those in attendance of the Graveside service wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Memorials may be made in Diana’s memory to the American Diabetes Foundation or American Cancer Society.
