Dennis Lee Ryan

     Dennis Lee Ryan, 72, of Ridge Farm, passed away at 12:54am, Thursday, February 18, 2021 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville, IL.  On April 23, 1948, he was born in Danville, IL, the son of Russell and Ellsie {Drews} Ryan.  He was united in marriage to Linda Mills on February 28, 1970.  She will miss him dearly.
     Dennis is also survived by his children, Corey (Trina) Ryan, Kevin (Brandy) Ryan, & Greg Ryan, all of Ridge Farm; his grandchildren, Kenneth, Jacob, Kasadee & Landon; his great grandchild, Sara; his brother, Russell Ryan of Gulf Port, MS.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Myrna Burke, Peggy Lete, Ruth Catran, Joan Ryan, Arlene Sapp, Tommy Ryan, Robert, Jerry, Jack, & William Ryan.
     Dennis worked at Anderson Electric for 42 years retiring in 2011.  He was a member of the Vermilion Grove Friends.  He enjoyed going camping, especially at Forest Glen County Preserve, as well as woodworking and carving.  He loved to have a BBQ’s and spending time with his family.
     A Celebration of Dennis’ life will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Vermilion Grove Friends, 3760 N 1500 E Road, Ridge Farm, IL with Pastor Joe White officiating.  Visitation will be held 11:00am to 1:00pm Tuesday at the Church prior to his service.  He will be laid to rest in Vermilion Grove Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be given in his name to Vermilion Grove Friends.  Please join his family in sharing memories through his Tribute Wall at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
