Deborah 'Debbie' Caudill Obituary

Deborah Lynn Caudill, 69, passed away at Ascension St. Thomas Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on Saturday, September 11, 2021, with her loved ones by her side.
Debbie was born on May 8, 1952, to Howard Houston Simmons and Joan Richardson VanMatre in Paris, IL.  She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ernest Ray Simmons.
Debbie leaves behind many loved ones:  her loving companion, Thomas Parker of Murfreesboro, TN; her children, Cindy Varner of Catlin, IL, and Charlie (Cindy DeBarba) Varner of Westville, IL; her three grandsons, Quentin (Layne) Varner of Veedersburg, IN, Cody (Shelby) Varner of Tilton, IL, and Devin Varner of Fairmount, IL; her siblings, Cheryl Simmons of Murfreesboro, TN, and Mario Simmons of Kaysville, UT; her Aunt Frances Uselton of Rockvale, TN; and her Uncle Roy Simmons of Dana, IN.  Debbie has a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins that will miss her dearly, as well as her two very special friends, Virginia Trusler and Jennie Phillips.
Debbie’s childhood was spent moving between Woodbury, TN, Paris, IL, and Danville, IL.  As a young adult, she settled in Danville, IL, marrying Gary Varner and having their two children, Cindy & Charlie.  She started her working career at Walgreens Accounting Office in 1972.  Later she worked for CIM Trucking in Danville before finishing her career at USF Holland as a billing clerk.  She retired from USF Holland in 2014.  After her retirement, she moved to Murfreesboro, TN, with her loving companion, Thomas.
Debbie had many interests that kept her busy.  She had a love for flower gardening and had a special green thumb for houseplants.  Debbie was always up for an adventure, whether it be a day trip to the casino or spending time rummaging and going to auctions.  She absolutely loved vacationing.  Some of her best vacations included the sun and beaches.  In recent years, she and Thomas enjoyed the camping life.
Debbie very simply loved life.  She dearly loved spending time with her family and friends, and she certainly didn’t know a stranger.  She had the most genuine heart and was easy to talk with.  She had the ability to make each person feel special.  She truly was the best mother, daughter, and grandmother to her family.
It is with great sadness that Debbie left us to unexpectedly due to Covid Pneumonia.
