Daryl Bruner Obituary

On Jan 20, 2020 we lost Daryl Bruner from an unfortunate heart attack. He had been suffering for years with heart problems and today he will no longer be in pain and will no longer suffer.

Daryl was one of those special kind of people and it's very unfortunate that he has left us at the young age of 55. The lord above needed another angel and therefore called for Daryl to join him and his beloved mother Evelyn. Although, he had his struggles, he still managed to make us laugh with his jokes and sarcasm. Anyone who knew Daryl, knows he would be there for you if you needed him. Daryl always knew how to get the best out of someone. When Daryl was always at the hospital and had to have heart surgery, Daryl would always say "don’t forget I want to be with my mom" and would always stay strong trying to push through.

Although our friend and brother was a very private person, he believed in helping those around him and always trying to make new friends. He spent his life having a Gift Store, working at a hotel and all while being dedicated to taking care of his mother and would make time and do anything for her and others. He would also always be there for his true friends.

Daryl was the true meaning of family. He made us laugh but he always made sure to have a say in any conversation. He will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, love, and most of all his sense of humor. He and his best friend and brother (Ben Mireles) traveled and took many road trips together to Vegas, California, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Florida. Ben had taken care of Daryl for many years in Illinois, Texas, and even in Florida where he was diagnosed with early stages of Dementia.

Daryl was also very close with his good friend and neighbor Sara Atkins, who was always there for him for years up to his last day while treating Daryl as a part of her family as she would take him to doctors’ appointments, to go buy food, or just to get out of the house.

Well, as Daryl would say when he lost his mother, "this is not a time to say goodbye, but I'll see you later". We know he is now in a much happier place and to be back with his mother. Our beloved Daryl Bruner will be truly missed as he will always be loved and will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace my brother. Love you bro....
