Cora Wilson

Danville – Cora Elizabeth Wilson, 72, of Danville passed away at 6:38 PM on April 3, 2021 at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana, IL.

Cora was born on December 1, 1948 in Richmond, VA the daughter of Samuel and Virginia (Jackson) Wilson.

Survivors include her three sisters, Fanita Wilson and Brenda Wilson of Dekalb, IL, and Delores Wilson of Danville, IL, one brother, Samuel Anthony (Eva Dean) Wilson of Sycamore, IL. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory Cornice Cunningham of Danville IL, who is a dear friend of many years.

Cora is preceded in her parents, one son, Johnathan Christopher Ross Wilson, one sister, Janette Wilson, as well as three brothers, William, Virgil and Joseph Wilson.

Cora was a member of the Israel of Gods Church W.H.A  in Danville, IL. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Danville Care for many years.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:00 A M at The Israel of Gods Church W.H.A., 125 Tennessee Ave in Danville, IL Reverend Jason Henton will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.  Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.

It is kindly requested that those in attendance of the visitation or services wear a mask and practice social distancing.
