Cody Williamson

Cody Williamson, 28, of Fithian, Illinois passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at his home.

He was born April 24, 1995, in Danville, Illinois son of Mark Williamson and Vicki Neal (Erp)

Cody married Katie Rutledge on September 17, 2019, in Panama City Beach, Florida, and she survives.

Along with his wife and parents, Cody is also survived by his brother, Michael Williamson.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Dick and Kay Erp.

Cody was best known for his mechanical mind and his passion for figuring out how things worked. His hobby of tinkering later led to a successful career as a mechanic. He loved listening to music, and had a soft spot for animals—especially his dogs.  When not working, Cody enjoyed time spent with his friends and family.

A Celebration of Life for Cody will be held at 6PM on Thursday, April 25, 2024, with Pastor Josh Hunsberger officiating at Sunset’s Oakwood Chapel 105 E South Main Street Oakwood, Illinois. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 4PM-6PM at the funeral home. Memorials in Cody’s name may be made to the Vermilion County Animal Shelter.
