Christopher Moore Jr. Obituary

Christopher Michael Moore Jr,

Our Little Man

Born December 19, 2003 to Stephanie Wyatt and Christopher Moore Sr. at Carle hospital in Urbana. He flew to the arms of Jesus on March 30, 2021.

Christopher is so very loved.  We know that he is healed and whole; happy and waiting for us. Those left to cherish his memories, in addition to his parents, are:  Papa and Gamma Herman and Diana Wyatt, Grandfather Ernest Moore, Grandmother Marva Moore, Aunt T Tiphanie and Uncle Troy Baker, Aunt Maylinda and Uncle Mike Ross, Aunt Marva and Uncle Nate Moore, Jim and Birgit Wyatt (Germany), His cousins “Brudder” Brock (B.J.) Baker, Kenny Baker, and Frances Wyatt (Germany), his special nurse and friend, Darcey Deffenbaugh, and his friend and Irun4 runner, Amber West and a host of friends all over the world.

Christopher had so many that were there to greet him when he entered Heaven including:  Great-Grandma Ruby Krauel, Great-Grandpa Kenneth Krauel, Great Grandma Gaga Lavern Julick, Great Grandpa Otto Julick Jr, Great Grandma Bertha Moore, Great Grandpa Alfred Moore, Great Grandpa Herman A Wyatt, Great Grandma Mary Phillips, Great Grandfather John Phillips, Great Uncle Kenneth Bradley Krauel, Great Aunt Karen Spicer, Aunt Karla Neff, special Aunt Fern “Yennie” Cutrell, and his girls Emma “Peanut” Minion, and Sara Schenk and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends.

Christopher taught so many lessons in his short life. We are so very thankful for every moment with him. We are thankful to the many friends we have met on this journey, and those who helped along the way.  We are eternally grateful to all of the wonderful doctors, nurses, therapists, and caregivers at OSF Peoria, LaRabida Children’s Hospital – Chicago, and Comer Children’s Hospital – Chicago, that helped us to give Christopher the best life that we could possibly give him.  We wanted to give special thanks for his favorites Dr. Jim Tonsgard and Nurse Debby Ruckman.

Our sweet boy was such a joy to us! He was so gentle and loved. If you knew Christopher, he was never without his faithful companion Stinky the Peacock.  He loved Blue’s Clues, Puppy Dog Pals, Chuggington, and Baby Shark. He loved going to concerts and Sesame Street Live and just people watching. He loved playing AMBUCS baseball every summer – really, he just liked to bat and would fake sleep through the rest of the game. In 2015, we were blessed to be able to take him to Disney on his Make a Wish trip. Those memories will sustain us a lifetime.  We found out that our dear boy loved to go fast!!!  He was always ready for a ride in the car.

Pallbearers are:  Brock Baker, Troy Baker, Nathan Moore, and Mike Ross.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the following that have helped us so very much:  Ronald McDonald House Comer Hospital – Chicago, AMBUCS Vermilion County, Champaign County Down Syndrome Network, LaRabida Hospital – Chicago, or The Church of the Holy Trinity, Danville.
