Cheryl (Atkinson) Ross

     Cheryl Ross, 70, of Veedersburg, Indiana, passed away at 12:56pm, Sunday, November 8, 2020, at Franciscan Health Hospital, Lafayette, IN.  She was born on June 10, 1950, the daughter of Gerald and Mary {Mackmin} Atkinson in Highland Park, Michigan.  She was united in marriage to Tony Ross on February 16, 1973.  He will miss her dearly.
     Cheryl is also survived by:  her mother, Mary Atkinson; her children, Tony (Stuart) Ross, Amy (James) Evans, and Dominic (Shandi) Ross; her brothers, Robert (Liz) Atkinson and Barry Atkinson; and her grandchildren, Eric Evans, Hannah Evans, Sarah Evans, & Ian Dowall.  She was preceded in death her father and her sisters, Brenda Pappalardo & Bonnie Dulock.
     Cheryl was a member of the First Assembly of God in Covington and was very fond of her church family.  She was in the church choir and part of the Prime Timers.  Cheryl provided daycare and loved nurturing her grandchildren.  She enjoyed spending time with her family.  She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
     A celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held at 12:00pm (noon) EST, Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington, Indiana 420 3rd St. Covington, Indiana 47932 with Pastor Bob Fairchild officiating.  Visitation will be 4pm to 6pm EST, Friday, November 13, 2020 at the funeral home and one hour prior to her service on Saturday at the funeral home.  She will be laid to rest in Central Lake Cemetery in Michigan.  Due to recent Covid-19 health concerns, masks must be worn, and social distancing practiced by all who attend the services.  Memorial donations may be given in her name to First Assembly of God in Covington.  Please join her family in sharing memories through her Tribute Wall at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
