Danville – Cheryl Lynn Cox, 61, of Danville passed away at 1:10 AM on October 4, 2019 at Danville Care Center in Danville, IL.

Cheryl was born on May 3, 1958 the daughter of Marshall and Joyce (Etchison) Cox in Danville, IL.

Cheryl is survived by her parents; Marshall and Joyce Cox of Danville, two brothers; Marshall Cox, Jr. of Danville and Floyd (Pam) Cox of Tilton, IL, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great-nieces and nephews.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, one nephew, one great nephew and one great niece.

Cheryl enjoyed spending her free time working word search and crossword puzzles as well as watching NASCAR races. She loved “The King” Elvis Presley, NASCAR Driver #24 Jeff Gordon and actor Everett Sinclair from Law and Order SVU.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834 with Pastor Dave Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019 from 5-8 at the funeral home.

Memorials in Cheryl’s memory may be given to the Fist Church of the Nazarene in Danville, IL.
