Catherine Powell Obituary

Catherine Viola Powell, 84, of Danville passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. She was born on July 1, 1936 the daughter of Mildred Henry. On June 2, 1964 Catherine married the love of her life, Oscar Leroy Powell, he survives.

Also surviving are brothers-in-law, Arthur Powell of Danville, William Powell of Georgetown; sisters-in-law, Millie Jane Powell of Laurel, MD, Lula Stark of Georgetown, Sharon Powell of Laurel, MD, Crystal Powell of Henning and Sandy Powell of Chicago.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mildred.

Catherine graduated from Danville High School. She enjoyed puzzles, crosswords puzzles and flowers.

A Graveside service for Catherine will be held on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 1pm at Bethel Cemetery in Blount Township, on the corner of 1150 E and Indian Springs Road (2470 N), Danville. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 has been entrusted to handle her arrangements.
