Carolyn Case Obituary

Danville – Carolyn S. Case, 81, of Danville passed away at 10:45 pm on April 4, 2021 in Danville, IL.

Carolyn was born on September 4, 1939 in Sullivan, Indiana. the daughter of Clinton Burt and Margaret (Kondas) Weir in Sullivan County.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Mark Case of Danville, IL, two daughters, Theresa Young of Danville, IL and Donna (Kenneth) Watson of Delphi, IN, one brother, Clint (Sue) Weir of Danville, IL and sister Barb Alvif of Camargo, IL. four grandchildren, Brandon (Gigi) Young, Elizabeth (Fernando) Valenzuela, David (Hannah) Watson, and Michelle Watson. Four great grandchildren Gabby, Grayden, Yosef, and Salvador.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents and five siblings, Carol, Leroy, Mary, Judy, and leona. 

Carolyn worked at Proex Janitorial Service in Danville, IL for many years. She was proud of her cleaning ability and always kept her home neat and tidy. Carolyn also worked for a printing company out of Effingham Illinois for several years. Carolyn enjoyed gardening and watching all the animals in the yard with her companion Robert quick. she always made sure to have plenty of food for the birds and the squirrels, she especially liked the black squirrels. She was an animal lover and loved her cats and dogs dearly and collected a variety of figurines, coins and various other items. Carolyn enjoyed cooking especially around the holidays, when she could make a large variety of food for everyone to enjoy. She was a loving person, with a beautiful heart, generous, and kind.  

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834. Father Bo Schmitt will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, April 9, 2021 at the funeral home.

It is kindly requested that those in attendance of the visitation or services wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Memorials may be made to and animal shelter of the donor’s choice.
