Bonnie Harry Obituary

Bonnie Lucille Harry, 92, of Danville passed away at 11:38 AM on September 22, 2022 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.

Bonnie was born on June 1, 1930 the daughter of Charles Franklin and Gayle (Hardin) Ashby in Fairmount, IL.  She married Robert Paul Harry on October 16, 1950 in Danville, IL and he preceded her in death on November 29, 2009.

Bonnie is survived by her grandson, Robert (Megan) Harry of Sidell, IL and daughter-in-law, Nancy Harry of Covington, IN.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Harry, one son Charles Harry, twins sisters, Barbara Ashby Guth, Beverly Ashby Chalmers,  and two brothers, James Robert Ashby and Daniel Keith Ashby.

Bonnie is a member of St Paul’s Catholic Church and she and her husband operated a meat processing business in the Danville area for many years. She adored her grandson and enjoyed spending time with Robert. She also enjoyed her Soap Operas, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and working Crossword Puzzles.  

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 28 at Danville National Cemetery, 1900 East Main Street Danville, Illinois, 61832. Father Szydlik will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 5-7:00 PM Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. A Prayer Service will be held at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 prior to visitation.

Memorial may be made in Bonnie’s memory to St Paul’s Catholic Church.
