Beverly Wood

Danville – Beverly Wood was called home by our Lord, Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 10:25 AM at North Logan Health Care in Danville, IL.

Beverly was born on March 4, 1929, the daughter of John and Mary (Phillips) Lehmann in Danville, IL. She married Woodrow “Woody” Wood on July 5, 1947 in Crown Point, IN and he preceded her in death on December 10, 1994.

Survivors include her children, Sally Johnson of Danville, IL, Dennis (Jo) Wood of Danville, IL, and John (Carol) Wood of Sidell, IL, eight grandchildren, Bill (Melissa) Johnson of Danville, IL  Carrie Johnson of Danville, IL, Eric (Jaimee) Wood of CA, Cristy (Reinhold) Felder of SC, Mindy (Chad) Beasley of Homer, IL, John Wood of IL, George (Verna) Wood of IL, and C. J. (Reggie) West of IN, as well as fifteen great-grandchildren, Taylor (Nick Jones) Johnson, Cloe Johnson, Ethan Hickman, Dominik Felder, Claudia Felder, Lexi (Tyler) Mink, Logan Ovall, Johnathan Wood, Austin Wood, Erica Wood, Tyler Wood, Kayla Wood, Austin Wood, Kane Wood, Mela Wood.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Woodrow, two sons, Steve Wood and Daniel Wood as well as three brothers.

Beverly was the proprietor of B&W Services for over 33 years and retired in 1991. Beverly loved old country western music as well as 40’s &50’s music. She enjoyed spending her free time playing various card games and B.I.N.G.O., purchasing “scratchers” and playing Lotto. 

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to North Logan Health Care Nurses Amanda, Rachael, Gail and all the rest of the staff, as well as Pat from Harbor Light Hospice, If anyone was forgotten, rest assured we appreciate you all greatly for taking such great care of Beverly.

As per Beverly’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements. Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Park

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
