Danville - Benjamin Everette Oliver, 27, of Danville passed away on June 16, 2020 at 2:28 PM in Danville, IL.

Benjamin was born on July 16, 1992 the son of Bruce and Vicky (Sigler) Oliver in Danville.

Survivors include his mother, Vicky Welge of Danville, IL, two sisters, Christine (Chris Moll) Oliver of Danville, IL and Grace (Dean Ayers) Oliver of El Paso, TX, his fiancé, Sarah Xiong of Champaign, IL, as well as two nephews, Alleister Moll and Huxley Moll.

Benjamin is preceded in death by his father, Bruce Oliver, maternal grandmother, Virginia Coutu and his paternal grandparents, Everette and Elizabeth Oliver.

Benjamin currently worked at the Illiana Veterans Affairs Medical Center in the Dietary Department. He recently completed his course work to become a CNA and was waiting to complete his clinicals for final certification during the COVID pandemic. He attended First Presbyterian Church in Danville for several years and enjoyed spending his free time hanging out with his fiancé, Sarah and his friends as well as watching wrestling and collecting and building Air Soft guns.   

A Drive-Thru Visitation will be held from 11:00 – 2:00 PM on Monday, June 22, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834.  A private family Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Pastor Kelly June Whitehair will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Veterans Activities Fund at the Illiana Veterans Affairs Medical Center or the American Diabetes Association.
