Norman C. Dabels 88 of Danville passed away at 10:25 am Thursday January 27, 2005 at Provena Logan Campus. He was born June 19, 1916 in Danville the son of Carl M. and Ella Wiechert Dabels. Norman married Beulah Coyne on November 10, 1940 she preceded him March 14, 1984, he later married June Stuebe on April 15, 1989 she preceded him April 14, 1996. Norman then married Ethel Hillygus on August 15, 1998 she survives also two daughters Kay (Al) Schultz of Danville, Judith Ann (John) Culp of Montgomery, Al. A son Jerry (Marlene) Dabels of St. Louis Mo, one step-son Paul Hillygus of Albuquerque Nm. six grandchildren Julie (Brian) King, Damon (Mindy) Dabels, Amy (Ethan) Tadel, Jennifer Wilson, Chris Schultz and Caitlin Hillygus. Three great-grandchildren Jacob, Joshua and Caleb King. Norman was educated at Trinity Lutheran grade school, Danville High school and Utterback-Brown Business College. Norman was a life member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Danville; he worked for Hyster Company for 31 years as a steel buyer and supervisor. Norman also served in the U.S. Army Calvary during WWII. He was an avid card player and a member of the American Legion post 210.
