Norma Rippon

WESTVILLE - Norma Bertelli Rippon, 89, went to her spiritual home at 9:30pm, Sunday, December 16th, 2007, at Abbeville General Hospital in Abbeville, Louisiana. She was born on December 23rd, 1917, in Westville, IL. Funeral arrangements are being conducted by Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State Street, Westville, IL. Visitation will be 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday, December 26th, 2007, with Rosary at 3:30pm at the funeral home. A celebration of Normas life will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, December 27th, 2007, at St. Marys Church, 231 N State Street, Westville, IL. Father Richard Brunskill will officiate. Readings will be done by George Gouzer; he and his wife have been neighbors and true friends for many years. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, John Henry Rippon Sr., in Georgetown Cemetery, Georgetown, Illinois. Her pall bearers are: sons, John & Eddie Rippon; grandsons, John Shane Rippon, Troy Rippon; nephew, Phillip Dompe; friend, James Hoosier. She is survived by: her two sons, John H. Rippon and his wife, Barbara, of Abbeville, LA and Edward Allen Rippon and his wife, LeAnn, of Boise, ID; three grandchildren, Tonya R. Wright and her husband, James, John Shane Rippon, both of Laporte, TX; Troy Allen Rippon and his wife, Kerry of Westville, IL; three step-grandchildren, Destry S. Jenkins, Shannon Jenkins and his wife Melissa, and Tammy J. Colomb and her husband, Allen of Abbeville, LA; her six great grandchildren and her five step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, John Henry Rippon Sr; her parents, Joseph Bertelli and former Sestilia Taddi; her daughter-in-law, Connie Roberts Rippon; five sisters and three brothers. She will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew her. We Love You, Mom. Memorial donations may be given in Normas name to a hospice facility.
