Norma 'Jeannie' J. Delmotte

Norma J. Jeannie" Delmotte, 80, of Georgetown, passed away at 3:53pm, Sunday, March 26, 2023, at her home. She was born on May 16, 1942, in Danville, IL, the daughter of James and Bessie {Wilson} Ellis. She was united in marriage to Robert Delmotte on June 10, 1961. He will miss her dearly.

Jeannie will also be missed by her daughters, Debbie (Allan) Hall, Stephanie (Larry) Geary, Bobbie (Craig) Rushing, Jennifer (Jeremy) Litz, and Abby (David) Boudreaux; her grandchildren, Clarissa, Baylea, Callan, Riley, Elijah, Jake, Luke, Nicholas, Nathan, Braelynn & Lincoln; and her great grandchildren, Gemma & Dexter; and her sister, Margie (Jeff) Hutton. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jimmy Ellis.

Norma worked for Pleasant Meadows in Chrisman, IL, as a Certified Nursing Assistant and then as the Activities Director for many years. She was a member of the Second Church of Christ. Jeannie enjoyed going camping, sewing, shopping and bird watching. One of her favorite things to do was go dancing on Saturday nights with Bob and spend time with her girls and family. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A celebration of Jeannies life will be held at 2:30pm, Friday, March 31, 2023, at Second Church of Christ, 3350 E Voorhees St, Danville, IL, 61834 with Tracy Thomas officiating. Visitation will be held 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846. She will be laid to rest in Forest Park Cemetery, Georgetown. Memorial donations may be given in her name to Second Church of Christ, Danville.
