Norma Jean Van Vactor

Norma Jean Van Vactor, 90, of Covington, IN passed away at 8:08 PM at Carle Foundation in Urbana, on April 2, 2024.

Norma was born on January 28, 1934 in Perrysville, IN, the daughter of Charles and Viola (Crowder) Roman. She married William Van Vactor on December 27, 1953 in Stringtown, IN, he survives.

Survivors include her husband, William Van Vactor of Covington, IN as well as three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Monica Coffing and two sons, James "J.C." Van Vactor and Eric Van Vactor.

Norma was a member of the West Liberty First Church of Christ.

Norma and William enjoyed spending their free time traveling to a variety of places and she also enjoyed flower gardening and sewing.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation will be held from 4- 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington, Indiana 420 3rd St. Covington, Indiana 47932. Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society
