Norma J Hilleary

Norma Jean Hilleary, 96, of Catlin, IL passed away at her home at 11:30 PM on March 27, 2023 in Catlin.

Norma was born on June 25, 1926 the daughter of Earl and Orpha (Minett) Grimes in Georgetown, IL. She first married Robert Draper on August 8, 1959 and he preceded her in death. She later married Homer Hilleary on January 22, 2005 and he preceded her in death on February 28, 2019.

Survivors include her niece, Diana (Ron) Zigler of Fithian, IL, nephews, Craig Feeley and Mike Feeley both of Oregon, George Rosenberger of Florida and Robert Rosenberger of California, stepson, James (Karen) Hilleary of Chicago, IL and step grandchildren, Kristen and Harrison.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Robert Draper and Homer Hilleary, as well as her sister, Wanda Feeley and one nephew.

Normas family is grateful for the caretakers, Amy Songer, Pat Songer, Teresa Pridemore and Karyn Conder, who all took such wonderful care of Norma over the years.

Norma was a member of the Danville Elks Club, enjoyed playing golf with her friends at Vermilion Hills Golf Course, loved to travel, especially to Hawaii and Oregon, as well as dancing in her younger years.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois, 61834. Father Szydlik will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3-4:00 PM Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested the Georgetown Historical Society in Normas memory.
