Danville - Norma Howard, of Danville, passed away on February 7, 2014. She was born January 1, 1933 in Marshall, IL the daughter of Benjamin and Goldie Brewster Sweet. She married William Howard on January 27, 1954 in Detroit MI. She is survived by her husband William and her daughter Jan Howard. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, James; and her sister, Lucinda. Norma worked at JCPenney for many years as the jewelry merchandiser. She truly loved her work as well as meeting new people and seeing old friends. Norma loved to golf; especially with her husband at the Elks Club. She also enjoyed spending time in her garden whether she was planting or just sitting and taking in the scenery. Norma was also involved and very supportive of the Vermilion County Animal Foundation. Above all else, Norma loved her family; she will be sorely missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to have known her. A celebration of Normas life will be held at 11am on Thursday February 13, 2014 at The Church of The Holy Trinity. A visitation will be held on Thursday February 13, 2014 from 10am to 11am at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Normas name to St. Jude childrens research hospital, The Vermilion County Animal Foundation, or The Church of The Holy Tritiny.
