Norma (Drollinger) Cordes

Mrs. Cordes passed away at Heritage Health Nursing Home in Hoopeston, IL.

She was born on April 18, 1932 to Guy Francis Drollinger and Ruth Marcella (Rudd) Drollinger.

She married Thomas Cordes on June 7, 1951 and they celebrated 63 years together until his passing August 15, 2014.

Tom and Norma were members of the Frontier Twirlers Dane Club. Norma enjoyed playing Euchre, crocheting, working jigsaw puzzles and dancing.

She graduated from Catlin High School in 1950. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; three sisters; one brother; son, John and two great-grandchildren.

She is survived by daughter, Marcia (Patrick) Stevens of Danville, IL; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, IL. James Blue will officiate. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.
