She was born on November 1, 1919, in Spring Valley, IL, the daughter of Hugh and Nora {Coulon} Cappello, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Roy Johnson, Sr. on April 16, 1938, in Fowler, IN, and enjoyed 60 years together until his passing on December 19, 1998. Nora worked for Illinois Fireworks Company. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Danville Garden Club, and Elks Club. She really enjoyed golfing and tending her flower garden. Nora leaves behind her eleven grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Roy Jr. & Norman, three brothers, & one sister. A celebration of Nora's life will be held at10:00am, Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, Westville, with Pastor Scott McCurdy. Visitation will be 5p-8p, Friday, June 8, 2012, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, Danville.
