Nora Belle Rouse, 91, of Georgetown, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Presence USMC, Danville. Nora Belle Blythe Rouse was born the second child of Lula Mae (Browning) and Byron Abel Blythe on May 21, 1921, in Decatur, IL. After completing the third grade, she and her family of three sisters, Erma {Stevenson}, Ilene {Robertson}, & Margaret {Eldridge}, and her brother, Francis Blythe, moved to Georgetown where she graduated from High School at the age of 17. At 19, she moved to Chicago in pursuit of employment and met and married the love of her life, QL Rouse, on August 30, 1941. They shared 56 years of marriage before QL went on to be with the Lord on December 19, 1996. On November 29, 1942, they were blessed with a son, Quinten Louis Rouse. While her husband served in the US Navy, Nora Belle served her country by making batteries for Walkie-Talkie radios. After the war, she returned to Chicago as a homemaker and mother, having a second child on November 19, 1949, Karen Lynn Rouse. In the summer of 1953 on July 4, the family returned to Georgetown where in 1958, Nora Belle found employment with the Woolen Wear Jacket Factory on North Main Street as a seamstress. She worked several positions with the company as it closed, relocated, and reopened until the year 1983 when she retired. Her family increased with the marriages of both children; Quinten to Betty Joyce Glover and Karen to Thomas T. Juras and once again with the births of Scott Allen Rouse and Thomas Anthony Juras. Anthony later married Rachel Anne Scott on August 5, 2006, while Scott will soon marry Marianne Lloyd. Nora Belle has two great grandchildren, Sara Renae Rouse and William Lloyd. Nora Belle enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, & doing crossword puzzles. She was also known to study her Bible and pray for all of her loved ones. She is survived by: her children, Quinten (Betty) Rouse & Karen (Thomas) Juras; her grandchildren, Thomas Anthony (Rachel) Juras & Scott (Marianne Lloyd) Rouse; her sister, Ilene Robertson; and her two great grandchildren, Sara Rouse & William Lloyd. A celebration of Nora Belle's life will be held at 1pm, Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be 11am-1pm, Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Forest Park Cemetery, Georgetown, IL. Memorial donations may be given in her name to Danville First Church of the Nazarene Choir or Library.
