Noela Mae Wright

Noela Mae Wright, 90, of Lakewood Ranch, Florida died August 7, 2018. Noela was born in Canton, OH on April 14, 1928 to Walter and Katherine (Noel) Bivenour. She later moved to New Philadelphia, Ohio where she graduated from New Philadelphia High School. She attended Ohio University where she met Harry Cox, Jr. and they married on September 2, 1948 and had three children; Terry (Carolyn) Cox, Gary (Jeanne) Cox and Darla Ewing, they all survive. They divorced on September 9, 1968, later marrying Paul Wright on December 26, 1969. They lived in Danville, moved to San Diego and then to Sarasota, FL. She is survived by her spouse; children; grandchildren, Megan (Steven) Henry, Mackenzie (Joe) Coan, Addison Cox, Anne Hunter Cox, Terra (Mike) Penney, Tyler (Tawnie) Ewing, Tanner Ewing, Brittani Wright and Jordan Wright; great-grandchildren, John Taylor Henry, Bennett Henry, Cora Beth Henry, Annabelle Coan, Willa Coan and Mia Grace Penney, step children Candy Woodham, Kevin (Chris) Wright and Cindy (Juan) Herrera. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Walter Bivenour Jr. and Harry Cox. She was a volunteer at Red Cross, worked in the Circuit Clerk's office for Jerry Block and the Second National Bank as a secretary. She had a tour business and sold Doncaster Clothing. Through life she enjoyed cooking and baking, entertaining and sewing. She volunteered at the Asolo Repertory Theater. She loved traveling and playing golf and tennis. A celebration of life memorial service for Noela will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 AM prior to the service. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to St. James Food Pantry.
