Nina E. Osterbur

Nina E. Osterbur, 75, of Danville, passed away at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at Kindred Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born May 29, 1930 in Stendal, Indiana, the daughter of Norman B. and Opal E. (Harvey) Patberg, Sr. She married Carl J. Osterbur on November 11, 1955 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville, Illinois. She is survived by: her husband of over 49 years, Carl J. Osterbur of Danville; one son- James A. Osterbur of Danville; one daughter- Judy (Gary) Hamand of Crawfordsville, IN; one grand-daughter- Natasha Hamand; and one brother- Norman B. (Carolyn) Patberg of Pinehurst, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents. Nina graduated from Potomac High School in 1949, and also attended Eastern Illinois University for 3 years. She worked for R & S Printing, was a 50-year member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, member of the Immanuel Lutheran Womens Guild and former assistant Sunday School Secretary. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary #210, former assistant leader with the Green Meadows Girl Scouts and a former volunteer for St. Elizabeth Hospital. Nina enjoyed camping, loved to read and enjoyed knitting.
