Nicholas Kempen

Covington- Nicholas Kempen, 27, of Covington, IN, passed away at his home on April 10, 2014. He was born on May 1, 1986 in Watseka, IL, the son of Stephen and Jackie (Holycross) Kempen. They both survive. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Jackie Kempen of Covington, IN, father, Stephen (Roberta) Kempen of Watseka, IL, brother, Christopher (Lee) Kempen of Covington, IN, one niece, Lauryn Kempen and one nephew, Cruze Kempen. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Nick enjoyed architectural design, computers, fishing, music, sports, especially basketball, and loved his family. He volunteered whenever he could at First Baptist Church in Covington. A celebration of Nicks life will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Sunsets Covington Chapel with Pastor Andy Harkleroad officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM on Monday, April 14, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck, IL.
