Nicholas Anthony Ferpotto

Nicholas Anthony Ferpotto, age 27, passed away unexpectedly on March 11th, 2025, in his home in Westville, Illinois. He was born on June 16th, 1997, to Timothy and Debra Ferpotto in Peoria, Illinois, growing up and cultivating his life in the village of Westville. He attended Westville High School, graduating in 2015, and participated in automotive programs at Danville Area Community College and Parkland College.

Because of his many medical hurdles, each day with Nick was truly a blessing.

He developed a love of all things automotive from a young age, attending demolition derbies and street rod shows with his grandparents and parents. He spent many summer days in his youth on his grandparents’ property, playing and enjoying life with his sister and cousins while his family restored their own classic cars, further fueling his love. His most recent project was the restoration of his dream car with the aim of debuting it at his upcoming high school reunion.

Nick had many friends, for whom he would always be there if needed. If you were Nick’s friend, you were his friend for life. He took the definition and responsibility of friendship seriously and didn’t hand out such distinction lightly. As part of a dedicated video gaming community, he cultivated international relationships, fostering a community of shared friendship and camaraderie.

As an avid music listener and classic rock aficionado, Nick often found solace in lyrics and the meaning behind songs, and he recently began building a vinyl record collection. His quick wit and sharp mind (Nick never met a pun he didn’t like) found him often quoting lyrics from his favorite musicians in conversation.

Nick’s memory will be honored and carried on by his family. He is survived by his parents (Timothy and Debra Ferpotto), sister and brother-in-law (Madelyn and Noah Gustafson), grandparents (Richard and Virginia Ferpotto, Robert and Marie McElroy), and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends across the United States, all of whom he loved from both near and afar.

In lieu of flowers, you are invited to donate to OSF Healthcare Children’s Hospital of Illinois through the Children’s Miracle Network or to Family House Peoria in his memory. Both of these institutions provided vital support to Nick and the Ferpotto family during his early years.

A celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday March 22, 2025, at Sunset Urbas Chapel 141 S. State St. Westville, IL 61883. Officiating will be Raymond Gordon. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. As per the families’ wishes, cremation will follow services.
