Nellie Ross

Nellie Ross, 91, of Georgetown, passed away at 10:20am, Monday, December 7, 2009, at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village, Chrisman. She was born on August 18, 1918, in Georgetown the daughter of Stanley and Catherine {Tarasek) Mikulski, both deceased. She is survived by: her son, Robert (Sue) Ross of Westville; her ex daughter-in-law, Cindy Ross of Georgetown; her grandchildren, William Ross of St. Joseph, IL, and Sara Gouty of Nashville, TN; her sisters, Josephine Suchaczewski of Georgetown, Helen McKinley of Solon, OH, Lottie Wickiser of Normal, IL, & Anne Cravens of Chrisman. Nellie was preceded in death by: her grandson, Michael Ross; her brothers, Edward & John Mikulski; and her sisters, Victoria Lueck, Stephanie Mikulski, & Mary Mikulski. Nellie worked as a seamstress. She loved working at the Georgetown Fair for 25 years and really enjoyed talking to people. She was a good person who loved helping people. She also loved tending her flowers and garden in her yard and also family gatherings and also playing cards. Nellie was a member and active at St. Isaacs Church in Georgetown. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am, Friday, December 11, 2009, at St. Isaacs Church, 109 W 7th St, Georgetown with Father John Paninski officiating. A visitation will be 4pm-7pm, Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in Nellies name to St. Isaacs Church.
