Nellie Marie Gutterridge

Danville Nellie Marie Gutterridge, 85, of Danville passed away at her home with her family by her side on March 7, 2023 at 3:22 PM.

Nellie was born on June 28, 1937 the daughter of John Logan and Mary (Zborek) Polley in Fancher, IL. She married Bart Fletcher Gutterridge on November 16, 1985 in Tower Hill, IL and he survives.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Bart Gutterridge of Danville, IL, her sons, Michael Pitts, Terry Pitts and James (Curtis) Pitts, her daughters, Linda Marble, and Dora Fox, her step daughters, Kim Jackson and Mavis Fultz, her brothers, John Dilley, Gene Polley, John Zborek, Bill Zborek and Tony Zborek, her sister, Ruth Young, her grandchildren, Christina Deckard, Jonathan Fox, Brandy Brown, Sarah Mitchell, Stacy Deckard, Billie Jo Deckard, Josh Pitts, Mallory Johnson, Matthew Pitts, Whitney Pitts, and Hillary Pitts, as well as her great grandchildren, Billy Brown, Dustyn Lowry, Faith Milam, Sidney Fox, Carter Fox, Piper Mitchell, Willow Redmon, Carter Pitts, Dalylah Pitts, Hadleigh Pitts, Alexis Brewer, Natalie Johnson and Jameson Johnson.

Nellie is preceded in death by her parents, three stepbrothers, one uncle and one great grandchild.

Nellie was a retired Nurses Aide after 35 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, camping, collecting quilts and loved her four dogs.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Wade R. Martin will officiate. Cremation Rites will be accorded following services and burial will be in Danville National Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 5-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
