Nellie Humpreys

Nellie Humphreys, 94, of Potomac, IL, passed this Life on Sunday, February 7, 2010, in Danville. She was born on September 27, 1915, in Louisville, IL, the daughter of Mr. Hiram N. Watson, and Mrs. Susan J. (Malone) Watson. On December 28, 1935, Nellie married Mr. Albert W. Humphreys in Urbana, IL and spent 51 years together until his passing in 1996. Survivors include her son, David (Lynn) Humphreys of Potomac, and her granddaughter, Stacy Ann (Gary) Schirmer of St. Louis, MO. Her parents, four brothers, and five sisters, preceded Nellie in Death. Nellie was a Potomac High School graduate and later worked for Dr. A.K. Bush D.D.S., as a Dental Assistant for 3 years in Rossville, and Dr. Geckler D.DS, for 14 years in Danville. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family. Per Nellies wishes, there will be no visitation or services conducted at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Potomac Cemetery on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 1:00pm.
