Nellie B. Mitchell

Nellie B. Mitchell, 95 of Bedford Indiana, formerly of Mitchell, IN, and Danville, IL, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 3:25am at the West view Nursing and Rehabilitation Center located in Bedford. She was born on November 17, 1916 in Westville, IL, the daughter of David and Lolo Bosley. Both are deceased. In 1936, Nellie married George M. Mitchell. He preceded her in death in 1979. Surviving family include her son, Rick (Lee-Ann) Mitchell of Mitchell, IN. Two grandchildren, Laura (Gene) Hall of Effingham, IL, Tamara (Clay) Dugger of Breese, IL, and three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Makenzee Hall, and Greyson Dugger. In addition to her parents and husband, George, her two brothers, and three sisters preceded Nellie in death. She retired from the former F.W. Means Company located in Danville, and later worked for a local can company located on Gilbert Street in Danville. A Celebration of the Life of Nellie B. Mitchell is scheduled for 12:00pm on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Center, located at 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville with burial to follow at Springhill Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00am until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
