Narciso M. Perez

Narciso M. Perez Sr., 91, of Danville, passed away at 3:37 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. Narciso was born on October 19, 1918 in Villa Lopez Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Teodoro and Maria (Montalvo) Perez. He married Juana A. Lona on February 13, 1943 at Gomez Palacio Durango, Mexico. She survives. He is also survived by his six sons- Simon Perez of Texas, Jose (Mercedes) Perez of Danville, Porfirio Perez of Mexico, Venancio (Betsy) Perez of Danville, Jesus (Kelli) Perez of Danville and Narciso (Roberta) Perez Jr. of Danville; four daughters- San Juana (Reynaldo) Guerrero of Texas, Manuela (Ramon) Perez of Texas, Rosa (Praxedis) Alvarez of Danville and Leticia (Paul) Donaldson of Alaska; one daughter-in-law-Maria Perez- Oregon; one sister-Irene Jimenez of Mexico; one half-sister- Elpidia Montaluo of Mexico; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons- Merejildo Perez and Aureliano Perez Sr., one daughter- Maria Perez, four brothers, two sisters, and two grandsons- Aureliano Perez Jr. and Benito Perez. Narciso most recently worked as a janitor at Holy Family School. He previously worked at H & L Rug Cleaner and Stokley Van Camp. He was a member of Holy Family Church. He enjoyed doing yard work, gardening, listening to music, and dancing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at Holy Family Church, with Father Ted Pracz officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A rosary service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
