Naomi Marie Leeman

Naomi Marie (Dorothy) Leeman, 80, of Danville passed away at 1:45 am on January 25, 2024, at Hawthorne Inn of Danville. Naomi was born in Paris, IL on June 8, 1943, the daughter of John Jay and Mary Alice (Smith) Dorothy. She married Jessie J Leeman in Paris, IL on July 2, 1961.

Naomi is survived by her husband of 62 years, one brother, Lloyd Dorothy of Indianapolis, IN; two daughters, Lisa Jo (Don) McCoy of Danville, IL; Stacie Denise of Tilton, IL; and one son, Jeffrey J (Karen) Leeman of Manito, IL. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Craig (Haley) Swearingen, Ashley (Michael) Turner, Joseph (Nadia) Leeman, Bethany Nelson, and Benjamin Leeman, four step-grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Naomi is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and four sisters. Naomi was an active member of Faith Baptist Church of Danville, IL and a graduate of Midwest Baptist Bible College. She retired from Vermilion County Title. She enjoyed time with family, reading, gardening, and going on motorcycle trips with her husband.

A Celebration of Naomi's Life will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Westville, IL. Pastor Allen Rudy will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:30AM- 11:00AM on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the funeral home prior to the services. Interment will be at Spring Hill Cemetery in Danville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Naomis memory to Faith Baptist Church or the Alzheimers Association. A special thank you to the family of Hawthorne Inn for their awesome care and love.
