Danville – Nancy Lee O’Blenis, 93, of Danville, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, at Hawthorne Inn. She was born on January 13, 1933, to Jim and Hazel Quigley. On March 13, 1956, she married Charles “Bud” O’Blenis and together they had three children: the late Timothy O’Blenis, Kelly Freeman, Michael O’Blenis (Tanya Lindsley) and a special daughter in law and her husband, Tammy and Greg Lund. Nancy also had two brothers: Mac (Tressa) Quigley and Lew (Peggy) Quigley as well as a sister, Patricia Walters. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amy (Wyatt) Cline, Katty O’Blenis (Phil Reed), Jennifer (Eric) Siddens, Donny (Sarah) Freeman, Danny (Rachael) O’Blenis, Jay O’Blenis, Tim (Kierra) O’Blenis and Steven Lund (Kivanc) as well as 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great granddaughters. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Nancy grew up in Kouts, Indiana on the family farm. As a young child, her family moved to Danville. Nancy worked at Anchor-Hocking for 10 years and Royal Donut for over 30 years becoming “Donut Shop Nana” to her family. Most of all, she loved visiting with her friends and family, looking at old pictures, and telling stories of her childhood. Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Charles; son, Timothy; brothers, Mac and Lew; son-in-law, Don Freeman and brother-in-law, Monty Walters. Our family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Hawthorne Inn and Traditions Hospice. Per her wishes, there will be no services. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834 has been entrusted with arrangements.
