Nancy Nell Strawser

Nancy Nell Moreman Strawser RNC, 71, of Covington, Indiana died September 21, 2021, at Franciscan Health in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She was born on June 25, 1950, at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Illinois. Her parents were Eldon Moreman and Fern Richter Moreman. Nancy attended Danville High School and graduated in 1968. She then followed her sister into nursing, attending Lakeville College of Nursing in Danville and graduating in 1971. She became a Registered Nurse that year. She married A.B. "Butch" Strawser in 1970 and they had two children, Bryan and Steven. They were married for fifty-one years. She worked as nurse at the Veterans Administration, the Vermilion County (Illinois) Department of Public Health, and the University of North Florida. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Covington and an active leader in Scouting, serving as a Den Mother for both of her sons. She enjoyed embroidery and spending time with her three granddaughters, passing along the many lessons of a well-lived life. During her life, Nancy resided in Danville, Covington, and Jacksonville, Florida. She retired in 2011 and began living with the idea that "every day is Saturday". She is survived by her husband, Butch, her sons Bryan (Marie), and Steven, and three grandchildren, River, Meaghan, and Norah. They will all miss her fiercely. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Fern Moreman, her sister, Jewel Moreman Boland, and many beloved cats and dogs. Funeral services will be Sunday, September 26 at 2:00 PM (EST) at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington, Indiana 420 3rd St. Covington, Indiana with Bob Fairchild officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 12:00 PM 2:00 PM. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Stearns Cemetery in Muncie, Illinois.
