Nancy Mae Dacy

Nancy Mae "Sunshine" Dacy, 53, of Georgetown, passed away at 8:32pm, Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at her home. She was born on December 31, 1965, in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of William F. and Wilma {Young} Dacy. She was married to Michael Van Ness. He will miss her.

Nancy worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the VA Illiana Health Care System in Danville for 10 years. She enjoyed gardening flowers, playing with her dogs, and going to flea markets. She also enjoyed motorcycle riding and playing slot machines. She will be remembered dearly by everyone whose lives she touched.

She is also survived by: her son, Andrew Linder of St. Louis, MO; her sister, Mary Simpson of Merkel, TX, and her two brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Georgetown, located at 200 E West Street, with her service to begin at 6:00pm. At her request, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial donations may be given in her name to donors choice of charity.
