Nancy Kucic

Nancy J. Kucic,84, of Danville, passed away peacefully surround by her family in the morning of October 6, 2018. She loved her family and dear friends immensely and will be profoundly missed. She was born on March 15 1934 in Chicago, IL. The daughter of George A. and Mildred (Kuntze) Beck. Nancy was united in marriage with Gene Kucic on August 4, 1956, until his passing on February 5, 1994. She was blessed with 3 children, Susan Kucic Humphreys, Jeff (Crystal) Kucic and Brian (Marcie) Kucic; grandchildren, are Justin (Crystal) Humphreys, Jonathan (Brandi) Humphreys, Cameron and Morgan Kucic, Karie and Ben Seifert; Great grandchildren include Brayden and Olivia Humphreys, Kash Humphreys and Jordan Seifert. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Beck and Toddy Beck, Great Granddaughter, Avery Ruchelle Humphreys. Nancy attended Wright Junior College in Chicago, IL. She worked for the Department of Army in Chicago until she married Gene. They moved to Urbana and worked as a secretary in the Department of Agriculture. She enjoyed being "Wednesday's" secretary at Immanuel Lutheran School for 10 years. Nancy owned her own cross stitch shop named "Stitch Encounter" in Jacksonville, IL. She was also the Treasurer of her Condo Association in Danville. She enjoy being a greeter at Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoy helping out with other church events. Her favorite hobbies were her counted cross stitching knitting, crocheting, playing bridge and euchre with her friends and video poker. Nancy loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. A Celebration of Nancy's life will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion, Danville. A visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Private entombed at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be sent to her church Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1930 N. Bowman Ave, Danville.
