Nancy Jane Davis

Nancy Jane Davis, 75, of Danville passed away at 11:07 AM on December 10, 2022 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.

Nancy was born on July 31, 1947 to Abe and Ruth (Clark) Meeks in Danville, IL. She married James Davis on September 12, 1970 in her hometown and from there continued to grow a family.

Survivors include her daughter, Jamie (Chris) Hicks of Westville, IL, grandchildren, Skyah Davis, Jimmy Williams, Logan Hicks, Amanda Simmons, Danny Davis, Steven and David Griffith. Her great grandchildren, Steven, Jr, Mila, Allie, Kaleb, Henry and Rynleigh, a daughter-in-law, Cathy Davis of Danville, IL, her dog LuLu and many others who she came to know and love as family.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, James, three children, Danny, Terry and Michele, one sister, Betty See, and three brothers, Bob, Ed, and Don Meeks.

In life, Nancy loved to travel. She often made her way to Washington, D.C. to take part in the lives of the family she held there. Living and making a home in Danville for most of her years, she was able to provide stability and comfort that will remain even in death. Time of hers was invested in things she loved; holidays, puzzles, her favorite show The Young And The Restless. She indulged in the care her children, grandchildren and especially her pets. Passing the strength she carried to those left behind, may it remain forever.

A Celebration of Life Committal Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday December 13, 2022 at Chapel Mausoleum in Sunset Memorial Park, 3901 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, Illinois 61832. Robbie Ketcherside will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
