Nancy Ann Jackson, 63, of Danville, passed away at 2:59am Tuesday October 17, 2017. Nancy was born in Danville on July 28, 1954 the daughter of Harold and Clementine (Tina) Powell. Nancy is survived by her two daughters, Michelle Rickgauer, Amanda Jenkins; one sister, Linda Calloway, who says Nancy was the Ethel to her Lucy; six grandchildren, Krista (Eddie) Reffett, Ashton (Taylor) Barbetta, Colby Reffett, Mayleen Jenkins, Sidney Jenkins, Abigail Jenkins; six great-grandchildren, Eddie Valdez Jr., Zoey Friend, Malcom Anderson, Gabriel Reffett, Javonni Reffett, Jaxson Reffett and one more on the way. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and brother David Powell. Nancy was a very caring person, which was proven by her working nearly ten years as a caregiver at Crosspoint as well as being a preschool teacher for many years. In her spare time, she could be found working on crossword puzzles or reading her favorite Stephen King novels. Nancy devoted her life to taking care of everyone around her and for that she will truly be missed by everyone who knew her. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2pm on Friday October 27, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pmon Thursday October 26, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
