Nancy Amanda Snyder, 75, of Ridge Farm, passed away at 5:09 p.m. Monday, February 15, 2010 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Nancy was born on June 23, 1934 in Ari, Indiana, the daughter of Elmer H. and Edna D. (Waugh) Fleck. She married Larry T. Snyder on June 3, 1960 in Covington, Indiana. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1991. She is survived by one son- Gary (Penny) Snyder of Georgetown; two daughters- Shari (Gus) Nasiopoulos of Danville and Lisa Bennett of Ridge Farm; three brothers- Howard Fleck of Remington, Indiana, Sam (Frances) Fleck of Perrysville, Indiana and Franklin (Joyce) Fleck of Veedersburg, Indiana; four grandchildren- Bryan Snyder, Sarah Bennett, Jason Bennett and Edward Nasiopoulos; one great-granddaughter- Alexis Snyder; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and an infant brother- Carl Fleck. Nancy graduated from Covington High School. She worked for a short time as a CNA at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village in Chrisman. In her younger years she attended church at First Church of Christ in Covington. Nancy enjoyed reading, gardening and doing puzzle books. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. A Celebration of the life of Nancy Amanda Snyder will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Following the service Nancy will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
