Nancy A. Anderson

Danville - Nancy A. Anderson, 70, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2015 at 4:24 p.m. in her home in Danville. Nancy was born the daughter of Wilber and Rose Stein on August 18, 1944 in Danville. Nancy married Alex Anderson on June 27, 1970 at St. Pauls Church in Danville. They enjoyed many years together and enjoyed their family life. Nancy is survived by her husband Alex Anderson of Danville; her sons John (Stacey) Anderson of Springville, Donnie (Shay Anspach) Anderson of Oakwood; her grandchildren Jordan (Brye) Creek, Austin Anderson, Shelby Bennett, Josh Anderson, Alex Anderson and Zachary Anderson; her sister-in-law Bonnie Stein; special cousin Delores Wilder and special friend Janet (John) McColloch; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Wilber and Rose and brother David Stein. Nancy was always at her happiest while spending quality time with her family, but her favorite activity was spending time with her grandchildren. She was known for her love of animals, in particular, her dog Ginger. Nancy enjoyed 5 years as a librarian at Edison school and then worked for the Danville Sanitary district for 18 years. She enjoyed rides to the forest preserves where she could observe all sorts of local wildlife. She was able to enjoy one last Christmas season with her family and will be fondly remembered and missed by many. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a life celebration home in Danville. There will be a private memorial service held for Nancy.
