Myron Samuels Foster

Kingman, Ind. -- Myron Samuels Foster, 67, of rural Kingman (Silver Island), passed away at 5:50 a.m. EST Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at his residence. He was born September 14, 1942 in Cayuga, Indiana the son of Max B. and Berniece Samuels Foster. He married Theolinda Sendra on November 18, 1994 in Newport, Indiana. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Deborah E.(Dennis)Summers of Veedersburg, Indiana and Myra Foster of rural Kingman, Indiana (Silver Island); one son, James D.(Ronda)Foster of Rockville, Indiana; his mother, Berniece Foster of Cayuga, Indiana; five grandchildren, Matthew and Makenzie Foster; Raeann Sutherlin; Kyle(Mandy)Marshall and Laura Marshall. He was preceded in death by his father, Max B. Foster and one brother, Merrill B. Foster. Myron retired from Eli Lilly Company in Clinton, Indiana in 1996. He grew up attending the Cayuga Christian Church. Myron was a 1960 graduate of Cayuga High School and the Indiana Barber School. He was the current President of the Cayuga Alumni Association; past President and a current member of the Illiana Antique Auto Club and the Perrysville Unity Lodge #344 F&AM. Myron enjoyed antique automobiles, farming and NASCAR. Funeral services: 2 p.m. EST Saturday, February 13, 2010 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Steve Vitaniemi; Burial: Silver Island Cemetery in rural Kingman, Indiana; Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. EST Friday, February 12, 2010 at the funeral home with Masonic Services at 8 p.m. EST.
