Myrna Ann Kirkpatrick

Myrna Ann Kirkpatrick, 86, of Fithian, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

She was born February 28, 1938, in Muncie, Illinois, daughter of the late William and Iola (Bennett) Youmans.

She married James "Jim" Kirkpatrick on December 1, 1962, in Danville IL., and he preceded her in death on December 19, 2022.

Survivors include her sons: David (Teresa) Cronk, Brad (Marijane) Cronk, and James (Rhonda) Kirkpatrick II; one sister: Virlane Dunn; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Myrna was preceded in death by her sister: Donna Richardson and one infant sister: Darlene.

Myrna was a proud 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Iris Chapter. She was baptized at the Fithian United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, collecting dolls, going to the casino and researching genealogy. Most of all, Myrna enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

A Celebration of Life for Myrna will take place at 11AM on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Sunsets Oakwood Funeral Chapel 105 E. South Main Street Oakwood, IL. with Pastor Todd Creason officiating. Visitation will be from 9AM-11AM on Saturday, March 9, 2024, with an Order of the Eastern Star service at 10:45AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Stearns Cemetery in Fithian, IL. Memorials in Myrnas name may be made to the Oakwood Historical Society 106 S. Scott Street Oakwood, IL. 61858.
