Mylena Cotton

Mylena R Cotton, 41, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022. She was born in Danville, IL on June18, 1980, the daughter of Debra (Derric) Darnell and Ricard Cotton.

Mylena is survived by her two children Gavyn and Reyse; her mother and stepfather, Debra Darnell and Derric Darnell; and two sisters, Amie Cotton and Angel Cotton.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents and father, Richard Cotton.

Mylena received her bachelors in science of Nursing from Lake View College of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 18 years. She enjoyed working out, being in nature, being by the water, and taking care of others. She adored and loved her two children and her family very much. She will be deeply missed by all who had a chance to meet her.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on June 18, 2022 at St. James United Methodist Church. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 has been entrusted with arrangements.
