Muriel Jones

Mrs. Muriel B. Jones, 97, of Naperville, formerly of Danville, passed away at 8:00p.m. on Monday, July 26, 2004 at Tabor Hills Health Care Facility in Naperville, IL, where she resided since 1999. She was born April 22, 1907 in Harrisburg, Saline, Illinois, the daughter of Claude and Flora (Thompson) Belcher. Muriel was an active member of First Baptist Church of Danville. She had been a resident of Danville for 60 years before moving to be with her son in Aurora, IL ten years ago. She married Howard T. Jones, who owned and operated Howard's Caf and S & J Sporting Goods, he preceded her in death. Muriel is survived by: 1 Son: H. Wallace Jones of Oswego, IL, married to Shirley R. Davis; 2 Grandsons-Wallace E. Jones of Somonauk, IL, John P. Jones of Bartlett, IL; 3 Great-Grandsons- Andrew M. Jones, Christopher J. Jones, Jeremy P. Jones; and 2 Nephews- Richard E. Belcher and Mickey E. Belcher - both of Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 Brother: William J. Belcher.
