Mona D. Lemler

Armstrong, IL – Mona Diane Lemler, 85, of Armstrong, passed away September 25, 2025 at 12:00 PM in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Mona was born on March 6, 1940 to Joseph and Marjorie (Wolfe) Silveus in Warsaw, IN. Both parents preceded her in death. On July 3, 1962, she married George Lemler and they were happily married for 41 years before he passed in 2003.Mona is survived by two daughters, Jeannette Marie Fultz of Kansas, IL and Renata Michele (Christian) Wise of Armstrong, IL; two grandsons, 10 great grandkids, and 2 great-great grandkids; and her very best friend Linda Schafer from Pierceton, IN.In her high school years, Mona was proud to have been a member of the Civil Air Patrol and would talk about it often. She worked a variety of jobs during her life as a “Jack of all trades,” but her favorite job was County Market in Charleston, IL where she met and became friends with many. Mona previously lived in Oakland, IL and was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. However, she did reside the last ten years of her life with her daughter and son-in-law in Armstrong, IL There she enjoyed a peaceful life doing the things she loved such as reading, crocheting, coloring, and spending time with her beloved dog, Maggie. A graveside service for Mona Lemler will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Pierceton, IN where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. Cremation has been entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N.
