Mona F. Nourie

MONA F. NOURIE Mona F. Nourie, 78, of Danville, passed away at 7:40am on Friday, September 2, 2011 at the Vermilion Manor Nursing Home in Danville. She was born on December 18, 1932, in Menomonie, WI, the daughter of Dallas and Fay (Robbins) Donley. Both are deceased. In 1967, Mona married Ellsworth K. Nourie in Westville. He preceded her in death in 1999. Mona is survived by her son; Joseph Joe' Nourie of Tilton, and her daughter; Beverly Elsberg of Danville. Her three grandchildren; Nicole (Steve) Cobb of Round Lake, IL, Douglas (Kim) Richter of Mahomet, IL, Brian (Tim) Richter of Champaign, eleven great-grandchildren, two nieces; Kathy Reese of Catlin, Vicki Benshoof of Urbandale, Iowa, three nephews; Roger A. Nourie of Tilton, Steve L. Nourie of Dearborn, MI, Jason T. Shields of Bloomington, IL, and one brother -in-law; Roger L. Nourie of Tilton also survive Mona. In addition to her parents, and husband, her two brothers also preceded her in death. Mona worked as a waitress for many years at various establishments. She was a member of the K of C and the Moose Heart Lodge. She enjoyed going to the Moose Heart reunions, and making colorful calanders. She was an avid Cubs fan, but most of all, she loved being with her family. As per Mona's wishes, she will be cremated at Sunset's onsite Crematory with burial to take place at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home is in charge of the arrangements.
