Miss Ernestine R. "Ernie" Nogle

Cayuga, Ind. - Ernestine R. "Miss Ernie" (Beede) Nogle, 78, of Cayuga, went home on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 8:19 a.m. EDT. Ernie was born January 9, 1938 in Derry, New Hampshire, the daughter of Ernest and Pearl (LeMaire) Beede. She was preceded in death by both parents; her beloved daughter, Tressie Marie (Nogle) Drollinger and one brother, Wayne Beede. She will be sadly missed by family and friends: sons, Bud (Teresa) Nogle of Greenwood, Indiana, Scott (Sharon) Nogle of Cayuga, Indiana and Kenneth (Vickie) Drollinger of Covington, Indiana; six grandchildren, Kelly (William) Kuntz of Indianapolis, Indiana, Dustin (Jamie) Nogle of Grand Junction, Colorado, Dana Nogle of Greenwood, Indiana, Kaitlin (Tony) Smith of Perrysville, Indiana, Allison (Fianc` Stephen Collins) Nogle and Hannah Nogle both of Cayuga, Indiana; six great grandchildren, Izzy, Immy and Will Kuntz, Hayden and Klayton Rike, and Lane Smith; siblings; Karen (Raymond) Vaughn of Rantoul, Illinois, Alberta (Bud) Wright of Oakley, Kansas, Hank (Lynda) Beede of Tucson, Arizona, and Claire LaVoie, also of Tucson, Arizona; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Ernie led a busy life in both Cayuga and her winter home in Siesta Bay, Ft. Myers, Florida. She was a member of the Cayuga Christian Church and Women's Fellowship. She and Tressie founded Small World Preschool and later taught and retired from CCC Preschool, Cayuga. Ernie and her close friend, Marilyn Porter, led several bus tour groups through Carefree Christian Companions, as well. At her request, Ernie will be cremated. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Cayuga Christian Church on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. EDT with Steve Vitaniemi officiating. Private graveside services will follow at a later date. Ernie and the family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the North Vermillion Back Pack Food Program with checks made out to either Cayuga Christian Church, PO Box 731, Cayuga, Indiana 47928 or North Vermillion Elementary School, 5555 North Falcon Drive, Cayuga, Indiana 47928.
